Andrew Schepard, Director of the Center for Children, Families and the Law and Professor of Law, gave the keynote address entitled "Navigating the Winds of Change" to the 2009 Family Dispute Resolution Statewide Educational Institute of the Administrative Office of the Courts, Center for Families, Children and the Law, Judicial Council of California on April 23 in Los Angeles, California. The speech and reaction panel was about the challenges facing divorce and custody mediation in the changing economic, social and political environment. It was attended by about four hundred mediators, lawyers, judges, court administrators, etc. from all over California.
