Professor Rose Cuison Villazor Presents "Racially Inadmissible Spouses"
February 25th, 2010Professor Rose Cuison Villazor will be presenting a draft of her paper, “Racially Inadmissible Spouses,” at the Penn State Dickinson School of Law’s faculty workshop on February 25, 2010. Her paper argues that the federal immigration law's racial exclusion of Japanese during World War II functioned like an antimiscegenation law outside of the U.S. borders. Specifically, the paper contends that immigration law regulated interracial marriages by restricting the ability of interracial couples to marry and enjoy the rights and privileges of marriage.
Professor Ashira Ostrow to Speak at Symposium Entitled "The Intersection of Renewable Energy Development and Geoengineering"
February 25th, 2010Professor Ashira Ostrow has been invited to speak at the second annual symposium of the Washington and Lee University School of Law’s Journal of Energy, Climate, and Environment (JECE) and the Environmental Law Society (ELS) entitled: The Intersection of Renewable Energy Development and Geoengineering. In this symposium, leading scholars will grapple with the complexities of attempts to use technological innovation and transfer to address climate change.
