Lunch presentation on Wednesday, February 2 on “Rethinking the Nature of Legal Services: Educating Lawyers in a Time of [R]evolutionary Change"
Dear Colleagues,
I am delighted to invite you to a presentation by James Jones of Hildebrandt Baker Robbins on the topic of “Rethinking the Nature of Legal Services: Educating Lawyers in a Time of [R]evolutionary Change." Mr. Jones is the former Managing Partner of Arnold & Porter whose work now focuses on assisting law firms with strategic planning, developing effective management structures and addressing ethical responsibilities in a transnational setting. In addition, he chairs his company's executive education and training wing. He will share with us ("pro bono") his insights into the ongoing re-shaping of the legal market place, and how the changes in law and business relate to legal education.
His presentation will accompany lunch in the Faculty Lounge next Wednesday, February 2, noon - 2pm. Mr. Jones is one of the leading experts in this area. I do hope many of you will join me for this presentation. As we strive to prepare our students to succeed in the legal profession, it is important that we do so with a full picture of the environment that they will enter after they graduate.
Since lunch will be served, please RSVP to lawmaf@hofstra.edu by this Friday afternoon.
Best regards,
Nora
