Dean Lane, the former counsel to the New York Senate Democratic minority conference during the 1980s, argued that the successes of New York's Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo in working with Republicans stands in stark contrast to the "chaos under [Former Governor] Spitzer" and that Cuomo "is doing well. Why would he want to change?"
